Re: [NYDoubleCentury] newcomer

Nate, I enjoy hills and enjoy challenging myself with going up route 52 in
Ellenville just for the fun of it. this is where people hang glide from and
it entails a preliminary steep climb up route 44/55 past Lake Minnewaska,
and though I don't know the % grade, I think it's about a 2000 foot climb.
Notice I didn't say I was good on hills, nor that I'm a "strong climber,"
just that I enjoy going up long grades as long as I stay just short of the
point of "blowing up."
As for mid-week riding, I do ride on Fridays, longer distances in warmer
weather, 30-50 miles on Fridays and Saturdays this time of year. I just
renovated a new office and put in a bike rack and shower so I plan to start
commuting to work 30 miles round trip two days a week starting in April
when I have enough day light to get home. Thanks again for your responses,
I look forward to meeting you, Hank
