Hi group,
As part of my training for the double century, I lead several A rides
of 55-65 miles at 8am on some weekend mornings. The first one this
year will be Sunday April 2nd. It is a multi-level ride with the
Westchester Cycle Club (formally the Country Cycle Club), so it will
start somewhat later at 10am. This is the first day of day light
savings time, so it is really 9am. Last year, or the year before, I
lead a ride on the same Sunday in April at 8am, which really was 7am
due to DST and only one person showed up, so maybe the 10am start will
have more of a turn out.
The ride starts at the Harrison train station, and even I don't know
how to get there yet. It is a 50 mile ride to Banksville. I have the
cue sheet already, and it looks like a good ride. I believe all this
information is correct, but just check the April newsletter when you
get it.
This will be a good opportunity for double century rides to meet and
ride together before the big day. You can go on a slower ride if you
feel you can not keep up an A pace, so there is no reason to not show
up.
I also posted the S.U.N.Y. Friday Fling cue sheets and the Tuesday
night Kensico dam ride in the vault. These are good rides if you are
in need of a shorter ride. My plan is to publish all my rides in html
on this site, as it seems to work well.
See you on the road,
Bruce
