Yes, I did this once a couple of years ago with my daughter on a buddy bike
and it was scary. We saw several accidents including one that looked very
serious. It ought ot be a lot of fun but it is too risky riding in such a
large, unpredictable group of riders of very mixed abilities and speeds. I
won't be doing it again.

Yes, the 5 Boro Bike tour is very scary. You either have to be up
front and fast (15-16+ mph) or leave last and ride slow (10 or less).
The middle is a big bunch of amateurs that can kill you.
