I have posted a training calendar that Danielle Greenburg sent to me.
You can view it at:

You may need to set up a yahoo account (it's free) to access the site.
Everyone should be out on their bikes and riding every weekend at this
point. The above calendar is one way to train. I prefer to do hard
50 mile rides 2-3 times a week, then do a series of longer rides in
the 3-4 weeks leading up to the double.
This year I have invited the USI club to ride with us. We also have
several people who have joined from the Gimbles ride via word of
mouth. Given this, I think we will should have a large turnout this year.
The fast group will continue where last year's fast group left off,
with pace lines for the entire ride. I also think we will have a good
slower group as well.
It is important that you ride as much as possible and keep track of
your average speed. This is important to know when you want to figure
out who to ride with. If the group is large enough, we may end up
with three sections, the fast 18+ group, a medium speed 16-17 group,
and a slower 15-16 group. A ride like this is much more fun when you
have others to ride with. Training rides are also a great way to meet
others in the group. Feel free to post when you plan to ride and
others may join you.
As always, please post any questions, tips, or other interesting
facts.
