That is great! I would recommend that you do fast pace training rides for the longer events. You want to get your cardio and strength up, then take it easy on the longer rides. Remember that Jonathan Boyer (first American to ride the Tour De France) beat all the endurance athletes the very first time he rode RAAM. He also got off the bike and slept a lot, but he could afford to, and still beat everyone, since he was riding fast. Riding long rides slowly is torture. Riding long rides quickly is FUN!
