RE: [NYDoubleCentury] Dates for 2008

Bruce,

June 15 is okay with me.  I’d rather be home on Father’s Day, but the temp does seem to take a major up-tick about mid-June.

Best to all in 2008,

Brad

Subject: [NYDoubleCentury] Dates for 2008

Hi everyone!

Hope everyone is enjoying some time off work for the holidays. I know
the ski season has barely started, but it is time to fill in the 2008
calendar and we need to pick double dates.

The tentative dates are:

The 200 would June 15th, Fathers Day
The 125 would be June 6 or 7
The 100 would be May 31, or June 1
The 75 would be May 10, 11 or 17th.

The Bloomin Metric is May 18th.

Fathers Day is June 15th, but we have been doing the double on that
date for years now. I like the slightly earlier date because June
tends to heat up by the 22nd or so. Often the week before is a
beautiful day, and the 21-23 is generally hotter.

Memorial Day is May 26th, so we can't do anything that weekend.

Anyone up for the 75 the day before the Bloomin Metric? That would
make it a 140 or so mile weekend.

Also, should we ride the training rides Saturday or Sunday? I like
Saturday, as I go out on the parkway on Sundays with the triple, but
maybe we should do Sundays, and I will get the family out on a C ride
on Saturday. I can go either way on this.

We should do the double on Sunday to avoid traffic. Sunday is quieter
than Saturday traffic wise.

Respond to the group and we can find out what works best for everyone.

Bruce

PS. Have a happy New Year. See everyone on the road next year!

Marc, Yes, the training rides are different from the double. The terrain is hiller, the pace is slower as a result. We also have a smaller group. The primary...

Jim, in my opinion a fat A in the saddle is better than no A in a saddle :) Happy New Year to you all, Mike Koroly ************************************** See...
