Description

This group is for planning and information about Westchester Cycle Club's annual Double Century Ride (200 mile) bicycle ride from White Plains New York to Great Barrington Massachusetts and back in one day. The idea is to discuss riding styles and find people to ride with. The group can also discuss the route, and other issues relating to the ride. We will also be having two training rides. A century and a double metric. The cue sheets for these rides and others are available in the file section.

Re: Blog and Pics/ 149 miles, after ride cramps
I saw that as well, but apparently the Times is not good on math. They are recommending (correctly) that you do 5-6 intervals each session, 3 sessions a week.

NYTimes blog has summary of rat data as well limited human data on endurance benefit of short (very short, sub minute) intensity training.
