Brief Description:
Join us for some navigation training. Nothing fancy, just you and
your compass and a bunch of CP's for beginners and experts. This is
a training session to get a little practice in before the Fool's
Rogaine. For those of you looking to break into adventure racing,
this is great practical experience! The CP's will be evenly
dispersed from easy to medium difficulty to very difficult - a
little bit for everyone. You will be allowed approximately 2 hours
to complete the course - maybe some of you will be lucky (or
skilled?) enough to complete this mission. Maps will be distributed
approx 10:45 with the gun going off at 11:00. Participants will be
provided 2 maps - both maps will be standard USGS topos but one will
have the trails shown (for beginners and folks who may be a bit
rusty on the navigation side) while the other map won't have any
trails shown (for those looking for more of a challenge). Most
importantly, go out and have some fun, who know's maybe you'll get
to see a cool mine or something....
