We use the Silver lining herbs wormer as well, with no hassle (just put it in with their hay) or side effects.  In the long run, I think it is more cost effective, even for your large herd!  I prefer it for the breeding stock and youngsters, too!

I recently gave one of my horses Farnam's Tape care Plus and she had a serious allergic reaction to it. She is covered in hives, has a fever, and I had to call the vet due to this. Please be very careful choosing this wormer for your horses!

Something I have had great success using is:

Silver Lining Herbs:  Herbal Wormer

I use is during the months between when I give paste wormer.  It's very safe and basically works to make the body an uncomfortable place for parasites to live to they "leave".  All the herbs are safe for horses and are not toxic to them, but the parasites don't like the environment in the body.  It doesn't create a mass die off of parasites that can create blockages all at once or overload the detoxing systems of the body (kidney and liver).  Check it out.  The herbal blends they have for many other things are wonderful and are based on using plants, which a horses system is designed to process and digest, to help them get what they need nutritionally to maintain health.

It's good stuff !!!!!

Hi Neila,

I will reserve one sitef or you and Dobbie. I hope Tres will be better by then! I have not ridden much latley thanks to the cold and now snow. Diosa is fun (Moonlight)  right now she is covered in hives, I wormed her and she had a bad reaction. The vet is coming this afternoon to look at her. Arco and greco are fine, we will bring all 3 horses to the campout.

Hi Patricia,  Hope you are enjoying your new horse, Moonlight!

I am mailing a check tomorrow, Friday, for $60 for the Camping Trip.  You can put me anywhere you want, since it will be just me & 1 horse (hopefully, my own horse,Tres, by then).  So, can we have 2 sleeping rigs in 1 site.  I'm only asking because Silver Falls State Park would not let Dobbie & I be in the same campsite, even though we had only 2 horses.  I can easily share with Dobbie Fandrich if 2 sleeping rigs are allowed; but she has a motor home w/horse trailer & I have a truck/camper w/horse trailer.   Otherwise,  put someone w/a tent in with me.   Thanks, Neila Whitney

Hi, everyone -

Far-flung greetings from California; we're still in the Palo Alto, CA area as my husband, Jeff, undergoes his radiation & chemo treatments at Stanford University Medical Center, so I'm doing all my web updates from afar.

With that said, I've made some updates to the website, but I wanted to remind everyone who has either a Classified ad or Farm Directory ad (or both) that renewal time is upon us, and you will need to be getting those renewals in soon.  It will make my job easier if I don't have a lot of "stragglers" that keep creeping in, as I only have short bursts of available free time to get these worked on and uploaded.  In addition to running my husband back and forth from radiation treatments, weekly blood draws & doctors' visits, I'm also home-schooling the kids and have little Seth to chase around, so things get hectic pretty quickly.  Your help with getting your ads in in a timely fashion will be greatly, greatly appreciated.
