If only Idaho weren't a 9-10+ hour drive from Portland.....Its just too far to drive for a show for me. Anyone know of any in Oregon or Washington?

Over here in SW Idaho, our organization called, Idaho Horse Show Association, holds open shows throughout the year and includes classes for gaited horses in most of them. They have told me that if enough paso finos come to the shows on a regular basis, they will hold paso only classes the following year. But they need to see that people will attend and participate. I'll bet that is true of most of the open shows as well. And if we sponsor the classes, it will help to encourage them to hold them. I also invite the judges to all the clinics that I hold to give them a chance to get better educated about the breed. So far my clinics have always been held during times when they have shows going on and so I have not had any attend. But they know I am doing them and hopefully one day will come. We just have to be persistant and keep putting it out there to them.Sandy
