At the moment I am still planning on holding the fall clinic. I have 11 that say they will attend, but have not gotten registration forms from many of them. Once those forms and deposits start to roll in, then I will feel a lot more comfortable saying it's a sure thing. I am also going to open up the clinic to other gaited breeds so they can help to fill it. Please spread the word and invite people to attend. I need all 20 spots filled in order to cover my costs and earn enough extra to cover the cost of the booth at the February Horse Affair Expo in Boise. If I don't hold the clinic then I will need to figure out some other way to raise funds to cover the booth costs.
The dates for the 3 day clinic are Sept 27-29th. Cost will be $280 if I get the deposit and registration form by the end of August, and $300 if I get it in Sept. Auditors fee is $60 for the 3 days or $25 a day. Stalls, food and RV hook-ups are additional. IF you can only attend for one or two days, the fee will be pro-rated. The balance is due 2 weeks prior to the clinic and is non-refundable after that.
I have attached the form as a Word document. If it prints out funny, you might want to adjust your margins on your page to .5" for the top and bottom and .6" for the left and right sides. Then it will print out correctly.
When I know you are coming I'll send you specifics on how to get there and so on.
There are a couple people coming over from the Portland, OR area that said they'd love to share a ride with another person to help split the gas costs. So let me know if you want to do this and I'll put you in touch with them.
Please call me with any questions and get your registration forms sent in right away. I need to know how many are coming for sure and I use the deposit money to get the plane tickets for Vickie and Johnny.
I am curious if those attending would like to have a morning trail ride as a part of the clinic so you can get help with your horses out on the trail. I have had a few people say they'd like to do this one of these times. Sometimes it's not possible due to what a rider or horse are not comfortable with or prepared for. But I'd like to know what you all think or would like to do.
