Hopefully, this will get to everyone, info wise, & catch parade participants up to date also.........first of all, we WILL BE represented in the 50th anniversary parade & only wish it could be more than four of us (at this point), but so far myself, Andriette Gourdeau & Heidi & Terry Young.. The Budweiser team will be in it & of course, the Peruvian folks will be well represented as always. I spoke with the 'event' person today to get last minute info, etc. If we want our info (with names?) in the newspaper, it has to be submitted by 8/15 and likewise any changes to info for the parade announcers has to be in shortly after that. Then a packet will be sent to me about a week before the event, with passes for the over-night camping & our assigned number for the parade, instructions, etc.
I need to know if there will be anyone else coming ASAP so I can request more passes if necessary, and be able to give names of riders & horses names to add to the general write-up of the Paso breed......
Then the plans are to camp Sat. night, Sun. & Mon. in the beautiful Stanley/Sawtooth Mtn. area.....the weather should be great & we are looking forward to it!! The last time we rode in the parade was 4 yrs. ago and we were met with so much enthusiasm & complements on the Paso and encouraged to please, please come back........

This is a non-motorized, all equine parade with period/western attire a requirement, except for the bands & is heavily attended by thousands......last year it was cancelled (1st time ever!) because of forest fires all around, so this year should be a 'bang-up' blowout - 50th year!!
