As your new trail person, I'd like to add another HORSE CAMPING WEEKEND to our calendar! Come join us for a weekend camping at Mt. Adams Horse Camp in Trout Lake, WA (south central WA) June 20-22nd. This campsite is a no reservation site that has 12 sites, each with highlines for $5/night with the option of putting up your own corrals or tying to your rig. It is adjacent to the largest meadow that can accomodate hundreds of rigs that are FREE for horse campers who cannot fit into the 12 sites. Your own corrals are welcome. Water is on site for horses. One vault bathroom in the campground portion. The meadow has a view of Mt Adams that is gorgeous. I have a detailed map of the hundreds of miles of trails (courtesy of cowboymaps.com) that I will make copies for everyone. There are some gorgeous short loops out of camp and some super fun all day rides from several directions off the campsite area. The trails are very beautiful and most have beautiful, soft footing and frequent streams for horse water. We will have a POTLUCK on Saturday night.
Its one of my favorite places to ride and I hope you will grab your Pasos and come have some fun! I'd love to meet everyone. If you need directions and more info, here are a couple of websites that show photos, info and directions.
The Mt. Adams camp is a first come, first served camping spot.
When the 12 sites fill up, there will be TONS of space in the meadow so no worries about having no room if you show up late. I will be there Thursday afternoon and can pay for a few of the sites with highlines if you send me money to hold them for you ($5/night). Otherwise, remember, you can just show up last minute and get a spot to camp in the meadow!
