Re: "show appropriate" saddle question / Albany EXPO   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #40 of 1113 |
Judi,

Much to my surprise, you're the only person who has taken the time to reply to
my question, and I really appreciate it - thank you.  With all of the collective
show experience on this list, I was hoping for more input.

With that said, are there any classes this saddle wouldn't be appropriate
for, and if so, why?   I'm so new to all of this show thing that I have much to learn
still.  :-)  I don't believe any of our horses would be considered performance-gaited;
one of our fillies has me wondering, but we won't be able to really tell until she's
under saddle. Realistically, the pleasure classes would be the only ones that would
be appropriate for us at this time.

And speaking of shows, I haven't heard a peep about the upcoming Expo - are
there enough volunteers for the booth this year?  I haven't seen any requests for
assistance via the email list, so I'm a bit in the dark about the whole thing... maybe
there's plenty of help already?  Even with two more new young horses to work
with this Spring, our schedule is much more accommodating than it was last year,
so I'll be happy to help set-up, etc. should there be any voids left to fill.

Thanks again for your feedback, Judi, and let me know about that other saddle
question I had when time permits.

Take care,

Tracey Kasten

Tracey - That saddle would be perfectly for pleasure classes (Paso, Open,
Schooling or Novice).  And you could use it for Paso performance as
well.  Now, you're on your way - ONE more PF for the show!!  YEAH!  For
this show, I leave my booties on - the rules do not require "are or black
shaped" pad.
