AKA: Northen Summer League.

 Yes Catch Those could probly field a team for any event if its on a weekend, probly all summer long, aslong as not to many of our players are at GBJuniors or a Junior Tournament.

Count us in for more Ultimate =D

Well, with regard to an event this sunday, I received the same
number of positive responses as there are digits on a tightly
clenched fist!! I put this down to the Student Outdoor Regionals
stealing all our teams (or their players), so there will be no NWL
event this weekend.

I would, however, like to suggest that we start a NUE life this
summer. Where there are gaps in the ultimate calendar during the
summer, I would suggest we hold a Northern Ultimate Event (NUE).
This would be a self contained, one day event, just like the NWL has
been this year, held where ever someone is willing to host. Everyone
can turn up and get 4 or 5 decent games of ultimate, helping to
improve fitness, skills and team bonding during the Tour.

The only problem I can see with this is the lack of students over
the summer months. For the immediate future we should be able to
have another day where everyone can make it and I think this can be
organised soon, but it's the summer where everything could fall
apart. Therefore it would be useful to get an idea of how many teams
could gather enough players to take part over the summer. Boogie
Knights should be able to support one team over the summer, but we
would struggle to get any more. I would imagine that Catch Those
would be able to band together too, assuming they don't all go on
holiday at the same time (anyone able to confirm this?).

So who else out there can pull together a team when the students go
home?

PS I couldn't send this message to the group and had to use the on
