Rick - never did see you yesterday. Did you make it? Sailing was
pretty decent. I got there at 1:00 p.m. and foolishly rigged 11.0,
went out and spent 1 hour in the water/2 minutes on the board trying
to get back in. Totally overpowered. Came in and rigged a NP V8 8.4,
a great sail and really the sweet-spot sail size for a Mistral
Explosion 161L. Perfect combination for a big 225 lb. 6'-6" guy! Spent
the next three hours just ripping out and back. The wind was steady
and filled in all the way across to Robinson with just a few weird
dead streaky areas in the middle. Lots of new faces (to me anyway) out
sailing. The higher winds really bring them out. Missing in action
besides you were Glenn and Mark. Probably a lot of people had trips
planned for the 3 day weekend. Leslie and John were there. Anyway, a
great day, and I see +23 already reported at Pt. Robinson this
morning. Going down to check it out and maybe we'll get a repeat.
Friday's after-work commute was bad enough to make you want to take a sleeping bag to work and just camp out there for the night. Seattle really sucks in the...

Well, sailing is way better than sitting in Friday rush-hour evening traffic. I went down to Des Moines to escape the traffic. Winds were in the mid-teens, so...
