Hi NHS,
I was notified by Carol Hamann of a consignment sidewalk sale in Marshall this
week where Carol will have a table dedicated to the sale of some of Jenna's tack
for donating to the cure. I include her email below in its entirety.
Hi, My name is Carol Hamann, I have three daughters that are avid horse lovers
since they were small and were very active in the Fauquier 4H Horse Program. The
reason I am writing to you is to ask you to notify your members about our
endeavor to reach my youngest daughters goals. Four years ago she lost her
battle with Leukemia, she was 22 years old. Before that happened she set up her
own Relay for Life team with the American Cancer Society, in hopes of informing
as many people as possible about the need to support the fight against cancer by
becoming involved with the various community groups that are supporting the
fundraising effort, and supporting those that are grieving a loved one, and
celebrating with those that are survivors. Our family and friends and Jennifer's
friends and their families have followed through with her goals. This is the
5threlay for Team 4Jenna and we are hoping to reach $50,000. for the 5 years.
This is where our team needs your help. To meet this goal we need to raise
$11,058. for this year by May 30, 2009 relay event.
The Old Habit Consignment Shop in Marshall, Va is holding a three day sidewalk
sale April 9th through the 11th. They have offered a table just for Jennifer's
riding apparel her saddle and some of her older sisters riding things. All the
proceeds for these items will go towards the 4Jenna Relay Team, checks for
purchased items and/or donations will be made out to the American Cancer Society
and turned in to the relay Committee. Or your members can go online to the
Fauquier Relay for Life, under the 4Jenna team and make donations or purchase
Luminaries or Tiki Torches in Honor or Memory of one of their loved ones.
We are reaching out to your club to help make Jennifer's goals a reality. Please
help us sell her horse items.
Sincerely
Carol Hamann
