Fw: NHS "News and Announcements" Haymarket Day parade   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1526 of 2295 |
Hi everyone

Sorry to inform you but the NHS will not participating in the Haymarket Day Parade.  We could not find anyone to haul the containers for the pooper scooper.  Hope we have better luck for the Manassas Christmas Parade, Saturday December 1, 2007.

Pat

p.s.

Don't forget - we do have the Gymkhana (games on horseback) still scheduled at James Long Park for Saturday.  Come on out and have some fun with your horse, for just be a spectator.  It is a great event to watch.

Hi everyone

The Nokesville Horse Society will be participating in the Haymarket Day Parade September 15th if we can get someone to haul the containers for the pooper scooper.  This has been done in the past with a cart drawn by a horse or donkey or by an ATV.  We also need walkers that can carry the NHS banner.  If you can help with either of these items, please contact our Parade Coordinator, Marian Cloud at 703 594-3631 or Pat Pumphrey at patriciapumphrey@msn.com.

Assuming the parade will go on, the dress code will be simple, black pants and black hats.   If you have a NHS shirt, it would be nice if you would wear it.  The goal is to have fun and represent the Nokesville Horse Society.  For insurance purposes, you must be a NHS member to participate   You can join at the parade, or download a membership form from our website at NHS-inc.org.  Of course you will need your current coggins available.  Each participant with a horse will be requested to donate $2.00 for the pooper scooper.  As we receive more information from the town of Haymarket regarding parking etc., we will let you know by email on the NHS message Boards.  You can also call Marian Cloud.
