Hey John, (if you're reading) when you had your 'Twin' Warp 8's how tight did the gear coupler flanges fit on the motor shafts. Were they an interference fit and have to heated and pressed on?
I'm looking at using a Taper-Lock Flange adaptor but Dodge recommends that the taper bushings just can't quite hold 500 lb-ft. They recommend the gear coupler. However Kieth at Dutchman's says the taperlock unit will do fine. The taper-lock unit weighs and costs about half as much and would be easy to install and remove.
Did you get any vibration to speak of from the gear coupler? Or did the gears mesh pretty tight to where there was no backlash?
