I plan on changing the Chevelle's gearing from a stock 3.36 to a
2.56 posi. According to the SpeedWorld calculator, at the same rpm
(1500@72V), my speed should increase from 50mph to 67mph at 72 volts.
I might have to launch at 24 volts instead of 48 volts that I am now
launching at.
If all goes as planned this year, hope to better my records at the
72V & 96V classes in the 1/8 mile.
Looking for 70mph in the 1/8 somewhere around 10 seconds or less
this year.
Maybe the 1/4 next year at 120V.
Also working on a contactorless controller where the motor never
sees an absence of voltage and still can handle 2000 plus amps.
Also about 40% done is a 1966 Jawa motorcycle that will use the
existing 4 speed transmission and will start at 24V and try to
improve on some of those lower voltage Motorcycle Nedra records.
Jack.
