Just to let anyone interested know, APBA Region 10 kilometer
waterspeed trials will be held this weekend on Devil's Lake, Lincoln

won't care about, but two electric racing boats will be there to
challenge for world speed records.
Also co-owners Mike Bontoft and Lohring Miller will be there with a
composite 144v hydroplane running a lithium pack and aimed at the
outright electric waterspeed record. I'm not in a position to quote
test performances at this time, but I can say that this boat stands
to be the first electric boat to break 100 mph...You wouldn't want to
miss that.
Hey John
As you probably know, I built the motor for that bad little boat and have been
waiting for it to run (although I was told to be hush hush 8^o I'd been hoping
to get down to Barona this weekend but just can't afford to go (both time and
money) but thought it'd be nice to see if I couldn't make this EVent as it's at
least in my own home state, lol. It'd be pretty cool to be there to see it
capture a new record (it'd sure beat the hell out of sitting home lamenting I
couldn't get down south 8^)
I gave a write to David as I'm looking for info on the where and whens so if you
have anymore info you can point me to that'd be awesome and you just might see
me there this Saturday 8^) Either way, wishing you guys the best, as well as
the guys down south to whom I'm sorry I can't be with.
