Hello to all memebers of this group. My name is Scott Willett and I
coach the NYU TRICLUB at New York University in Manhattan. It is
great that we are finally seeing some interest in organizing
regional university triathlon clubs. The NYU TRICLUB has been in
exixtence since I came to NYu as a transfer student in 1984, so we
have been around the block a few times.

Our club comprises students, staff, faculty and alumni. We generaly
participate in 4-6 local races each summer, and have been to
Hammerfest before. It was a good event and would recommend it for
all interested. Our challenge with partcipation this year is
twofold. We have a group training for a half in Long Island, and our
returning students are generally not allowed to start practising
until after physicals/roster approval and this usually means mid-
September at earliest.

I will try to get Hammerfest on our schedule.

Can we set up a database to get a sense of the nature of each
University Club - number of student (+ other) participants, races on
schedule, training facilities, training schedule (what you do each
week/month) etc?
