Sorry I've been completely MIA, work and travel and shtuff...
I honestly think that we should still do hammerfest this september, just get
everyone
together for one night and one race to see faces and meet new people, it really
doesn't
matter how many show up, if the 4 or 5 teams that have been gung-ho about this
get
together, thats some pretty power right there. Maybe we can stay at the same
hotel and
converse the night before. At that point we can open our big shining eyes and
look into
the distance, and dream. As far as response from schools, I can't even estimate
how many
people from my school are going since school hasn't started yet, after that, I
think we can
get a better estimate. I don't remember who was in contact with the people at
hammerfest, but will registration stay open, do they think they are going to
sell out? Could
they reserve a set number of spots for us, and we can probably just ask to sit
at the
registration table and write down the numbers of participants in the collegiate
section and
ask if they can make up some sort of prize like other age-groupers.
