Hi all,

As the season opener is closing in, I'd like to go through our plan for
the first NECTC season. I am hoping this information covers all you need
for your successful season. Please read through and let me
(kinoue@...) know if you have any questions.

1. Team Registration:

The form to register your team is available at our web-site:
http://nectc.net/information.php.
Check the page for details.

2. Race Schedule:

Our race schedule is as follows:

1) August 26th
Cranberry County Triathlon (Lakeville, MA)
Format: International
Web Site: http://www.cranberrycountrytri.com

1B) August 26th
Whipple Dam Triathlon (PSU)
Format: Sprint
Web Site: http://damtriathlon.net.p11.hostingprod.com/home

2) September 1st
Vineland Triathlon (Pittsgrove, NJ)
Format: Sprint
Web Site: http://www.dqtridu.com/vine05.htm

3) September 8th
Zane's Madison Triathlon
Format: Sprint
Web Site: http://www.madisonjc.com/

4) September 15th
Lobsterman Triathlon (Freeport, ME)
Format: International
Web Site: http://www.tri-maine.com/Lobsterman%20page.htm

5) September 29th
Mightyman Sprint Triathlon (Montauk, NY)
Format: Sprint
Web Site: http://www.longislandtri.com/index.cfm?ID=32

3. Race Registration

For each race, there is a separate registration procedure for collegiate
athletes, which offers a discount.

Please check our web-site (http://nectc.net/calendar_07.php) for
information about the collegiate registration for each race. If you have
any questions, ask me (kinoue@...) or Bret (bret@...).

4. Championships Qualification:

Mightyman Sprint will be the regional championship race. You need to do
at least three races before the Championship, in order to be qualified
to be the regional champion. The olympic distance races count as two
races, so if you are doing, for example, the Cranberry County Triathlon,
you only need do one more race before the championships.

5. Point System:

After each race (except Whipple Dam Triathlon), athletes will receive
points depending on their place (in the collegiate field) and the size
of the field. The overall champions will be determined by the
accumulation of the points from two highest scores from the conference
races prior to the championships in the conference and the championship
race.

6. Leader Jersey:

After each race, the leaders in the point system will receive the NECTC
Point Leader Jersey, provided by the Champion System
(http://www.champ-sys.com).

7. Awards and Prizes:

At each race, top three individuals will be awarded. At the championship
race, top three individuals and top three schools in overall ranking
will be also awarded.

Winners of each race and top individuals in overall ranking will receive
products from Hammer Nutrition (http://www.hammernutrition.com) and/or
Rudy Project (http://www.rudyprojectusa.com)

Thanks,

Keisuke Inoue
