The phrase "heavyweight champ" carries a lot of weight the world of sports... especially in college wrestling.

This Yahoo group is designed to honor the best of the big men of college wrestling in the 21st century. (It's an extention of the original "NCAA Heavyweight Champs" group which will now be limited to the heavyweight title-winners from 1928 up to 2000.) Shown here -- two champs of the new millenium: Tommy Rowlands of Ohio State (scarlet and grey singlet), titlist in 2002 and 2004... and Steve Mocco, who won the title in 2003 for Iowa, and in 2005 as an Oklahoma State Cowboy. Others honored in this group: 2001 champ John Lockhart, and 2006 and 2007 titlist Cole Konrad.
