Gotta say I had to turn off the Houston game in the 3rd period
last night ... awful, awful game. Can't blame Murphy for it either
although he sometimes appears to be operating in a zombie-like state
this year. Maybe not fully back from injury yet. Two questions: Where
is the will to win that everyone talked about earlier in the season,
the never-say-die attitude? Dampier seems to be disappearing after a
promising season start and no one is stepping up to make shots at key
points. I admit it's hard to step up against Yao and Cato, but ...
The tough defense shown early on seems to be evaporating, too. I
notice less and less blocking out for rebounds. 2nd question: Why
does Mike Dunleavy pass the ball so often when he drives to the
basket? In fact, finishing a drive with a score generally seems to be
a problem for this team. I'm amazed at the number of times a guy will
drive to the hoop and end up needlessly kicking the ball back out
onto the perimeter, rather than trying to finish and maybe picking up
a chance at freethrows. Dunleavy is especially fond of this. A guy
with Dunleavy's size and gifts shouldn't dish off when he's two or 3
feet from the rim ... just idle thoughts ... I'd say all the Warriors
except maybe Cardinale are playing as if they've got mononucleosis on
this road trip ... I suspect something's going on off the court vis-a-
vis team unity that we haven't heard about yet ... there's just been
too dramatic a fall-off in efficiency to be accounted for simply by
being on the road ... or maybe not, what are your thoughts? Maybe
they just aren't that much better than the past few years' teams
after all. Or maybe other teams have gotten that much better, too.

Sadly I am letting the team down and havn't been paying much attention
lately (kinda tough when you get to see zero games and internet access
is sketchy).

I know my fantasy team (composed largely of GSers) is blowing all
chunks.  But i think that has more to do with my number of games played
;-}

I'm not sure how I feel about Murphy's return, but I do know that the game in
Washington was not as I had expected..although I was glad to see several of my
fellow Dukies in the same room.  Mike seemed happy after the game dispite the
loss so who knows whats going on, but things will get better.

Probly gonna upset a few folks (heck, there's only a few here) but
is it my imagination or are the Warriors playing worse now that Troy
Murphy is back? Maybe they had the right chemistry without him ...
Just a thought, I'll put on my flame-retardant underwear now ...

Well i finally got back to the group after being away for three
days.Well the warriors on sunday won 89-91 over the spurs.Now the
warriors doin a hella good job. in the western confrence they r tied
for 5th now that great.I hope the team work will keep progressing on
so the warriors can get better and better and finally make the play

Well warriors last game was great they won 72-78 over the trail
blaziers.also r stats have changed we r sixth in the west.Now we
need to keep adding to the sixth we need to go up.Also i think there
best player right now is Eric Dampier.He is avergeing 14 rebonds a
game and scores 12 points a game.So i think eric is doin the best
job so far in the season.Its early to day that but it doesn't matter
to me.

I can't watch them play, I can only follow the stats on espn.com and
here, from you.  Go GS... seems like almost all their losses could just
as well have been wins tho, so that keeps me optimistic.  I was really
nervous about all the players they lost.

Warriors Pull Off Second Trade In Four Days
In the CONTRA COSTA TIMES, Matt Steinmetz reports that
the Warriors "continued their full-body makeover on
Thursday, completing their second trade in four days."
Golden State "sent backup shooting guard Bob Sura to
the Detroit Pistons for forward Clifford Robinson and
point guard Pepe Sanchez." Sura's "departure means the
Warriors will have at least seven new faces from a
team that won 38 games a year ago," adds Steinmetz.


This is a great trade cuz Cliff can really fill the
void left by Antawn and Sura was washed up anyways.

C Eric Dampier or Erschmeyer

The two weak spots are PF and C but if Eric gets his
head screwed back on and Adonal Foyle chips in some
more points than he duid last year we will have a good
season.
I think the Warriors might try rotating Ersch, Foyle
and Dampier in the PF and C spots cuz Dampier they are
all big enough to play it and tha way Ersch would gel
with the team faster and we could see who the best
really was.  I hope Ersch works his way into the
lineup cuz Nicky V played with him last season and
will have a better idea of his game than Foyle or
Dampiers.

It's about time St. Jean did something.  He did nothing for two
years.  No loss moving Jaminson, Welsh and Chris I am the star
Mills .  The only loss is Fortson but his contract was just to fat to
hold onto.  Lets see what the new big guys can do here to let Nick,
Jason and Mike get out in the open floor.  All of the big guys have
to do is rebound, outlet and fill the lanes.  It gives us more big
men with fouls.  If Damp can ever get on the same page, he's there
fifth option on the floor, just fill your role, we can make a run for
the 8th playoff spot.  The west is just to strong for us to compete
with.
St Jean should resign at the end of next year if we don't make the
playoffs and Cohan should sell the team to some bucks who can make a
impact and know basketball.

With their late season run last year, i thinkif GS had
just resigned their former players along with a few
lower key free agents (EG Jon Barry) they would squeak
into the playoffs this year, but with the loss of Gil,
JRich and Antawn, they wont have a chance.  I didnt
mean they would make the playoffs, i meant speedy
played uin the playoffs last year (and the year before
2)

I don't actually watch basketball.  Because the Warriors are not the
Lakers or Nicks they're not on TV within 8 states of me.  So I just
follow them on the internet and in the papers. Actually I think I did
see part of one of their games once.

Honestly I thought Earl Boykins was a white guy for months cuz espn.com
had the wrong picture up.  Still rooting for them tho.  Don't see how
its gonna happen this year, tho.  They got rid of their main talent,
and while that's probably the best thing to do for overall improvement,
"rebuilding" seems to be the key word.

money. so now all they have to do is get motivated and young players
and turn them into stars and then win a champion chip. then they will
be the best team that i have ever seen

jamieson was a clubhouse cancer.  sucks to see boykins go tho.  maybe
they can get some motivated youngsters or something.  this team
definately needs "team players"

Well no we r back to the warriors talk show.
Now the warriors did some stupid stuff durung the last couple of
weeks. they traded antwain and richeredson i think and boykins. 3 of
there best players. now they should fined better players to replace
antwain and j rich its gona be a ok season this year but i think they
will do ok. Also i am lookin for a for a co host so if any one wants
to be my co host e-mail me at nick3565blue@...
