I don't believe I have ever seen fans like the Laker fans..
I'am an old fan..so I have seen quite a few..

I remember how clearly the Laker fans were NOWHERE to be seen when they lost
year after year..13 to be exact..of NOTHING..sweeps..failures..losses..you
get the picture..

Now..all of a sudden..
they are coming out of the woodwork..
and somehow have nothing to do but belittle our fans and our team..

I still maintain,even with the sweep this year.. that nobody plays the
Lakers any better.
and think..we don't have a center !
don't bring up Dale..he is not a true center..he gave his all,he was under
sized.

I am unhappy with the loss..
but nothing you could say,would make me love my team any less.
do I like,admire,worship,etc...our players?
course not..
do I get a big kick seeing our team play??
you betcha..

It is so crazy for the Laker fans to somehow think because we don't win a
title,that we don't have fun,high hopes,pleasure,sadness,fuming,let down
hopes.etc,because of them..
and that THEY ALONE HAVE CAPTURED THE MARKET ON BASKETBALL.

But you know.
I will be sitting in front of my bigscreen tv the first year that the Lakers
are without Shaq..
because I don't know if you understand this,but you will never know how many
games you win because of unfair advantages due to shaq..

Let's just see how well you do without the big man..who gets the marjority
of calls his way..even a couple calls down the stretch..CAN DETERMINE THE
GAME !
Sabas never got calls..
yet Portland did very well with him in the middle.

I feel our best years as competitors is in the future...
when both teams will be more even..
you may be too young to remember years without a dominent big man..
maybe not.
but I have never seen a player,outside of Jordan,who got more calls and non
calls than shaq.

To me,he truly ruins basketball..
look at the other teams in the playoffs..
they are so fun to watch..
because the officiatinfg is EVEN..
no one has such outlandish clout..

To answer your statement about the Portland team and players doing all the
talking..
excuse me..
but it's usually to defend ourselves or themselves against foolish
accusations from downsouth.. calif.

Whatever..
I just think you coming into a Blazer group spouting off pretty well sums up
what I think of you all...
what goes round,comes round..
by the time shaq retires..
who knows Portland could be much much better than your team..
then we will see how much fun you have..
kinda like that 13 years of zero????

Yeah..I know..Portland won only one title..
but wasn't it grand???
somehow it was so special, that it couldn't be duplicated ever again for
me...

And wow..
what a position you hold..
you are speaking for ALL LAKER FANS...
my goodness..that's quite a position to be in..
well,I am speaking for just myself..
as Oregonlive/Laker fans like to make fun of us for saying..

"I can hardly wait for next year !!! "

you might be saying that for entirely different reasons in couple years..
