Greetings fellow Blazer fans, In the autumn of 1976, at the age
of 25, I was with a friend who happened to be listening to a Blazer game. Prior
to that time I had no interest in professional sports. However the roaring crowd
and emotion-charged commentator really got me into the game. I discovered how
exciting it was ! So I started following the Blazers game by game. When Portland
won the league title the following June (77) I was glad, but I didn't really
understand how difficult winning another title would be. I was like a first time
gambler who wins big out of sheer dumb luck. The last 25 years has been a
reality check. I've enjoyed many games and credit Portland with being more
successful than most teams, but I sure would like to see the Blazers win another
title. One more season has dawned and anything can happen. Does anyone think
next June can belong to Portland ? Mike
