Come to the #1 Mavs group on Yahoo! We have over 350 members and
every last one of them thoroughly enjoy the treatment each one of
them receives at Your Dallas Mavericks.

Hi, my name is MavsRandy and I am the owner of the esteemed group,
Your Dallas Mavericks. We have tons of conversation about the Mavs,
Mark Cuban, the coaching situation, the upcoming playoffs, injuries
and so much more. We have polls, photos, images, AOL Buddy Icons,
Movies (NEW!!), Chat room, a database on how the Mavs were built.
We also provide Stats, the Schedule, Calendar where you can add your
birthday if you wish, and so much more.

During the playoffs, the moderators get together and have Mavs
watching parties when they go on the road. It's a blast and a half.

Why not be a part of the greatest season the Mavs ever had, their
silver season with the most exciting people on the net Mavs Fans.

Anyone read the new book "Beam Me Up Scottie" by his nephew Patrick
Pippen? Heard about it on the radio and ordered a copy, but haven't
gotton it yet. Heard there was some pretty wild things in it about
Scottie, the Bulls back in the 90's, Michael, etc.

Verbally agreeing yesterday, Steve Nash is going to sign with the
Phoenix Suns. The reason I post on him is because I really like
Steve Nash and can't picture him in a phoenix jersey. I am a fan of
the mavericks, and would HATE to see Dirk Nowitzki head to LA if Mark
Cuban ever plans the Shaq trade. So anywayz, GO MAVS!

I think the injury factor and the emergence of Raja
Bell in playoffs doomed Adrian Griffin. Let's not
forget the drafting of Josh Howard who seems to be a
more athletic Griffin type of player.

I think Rigaudeau underestimated the NBA.

Antoine Rigaudeau has told Donnie Nelson that he plans to go back and
play in Europe, ending a dissapointing NBA career.

The Mavs aren't expected to re-sign Walt Williams, Adrian Griffin,
and Popeye Jones. This leaves 3 open spots for the Mavs.

I don't want Adrian to go, his hustle and rebounding made some
difference in the team, IMO.

indiana has a high payroll and jermaine is looking for
big money. he'll go to a team like dallas with an
owner who isnt worried about the luxury tax and needs
a high scoring forward (i think duncan will stay in

the younger players are going to go where they can get paid the most!!

Cuban, although a Billionaire, I dont see making his Mavs into the
NBA's biggest payroll team.

I see a chance of Malone coming to the Mavs. If it is true he wants
to win a championship and still do some scoring. He could improve the
mavs pick & roll and overall defensive skills. He saw them go to the
Western Conference finals. I dont think he would go to the lakers, he
doesnt like Kobe (all star games, Kobe refused to shake Malone's
hand).

Jermaine Oneal will be in Indiana for a long time to come, unless
Indiana can trade up and I just dont see that happening!

P.J. Brown, a product of Pat Riley's coaching. There might be a
chance he'd go to the mavs, but not if its going to be for a maxed
out contract.

I expect, or I hope that the Dallas Mavericks go and get a true
defensive specialist.

I hope they dont trade any of their big 4 (nash, nowitzki, van exel
or finley) for anyone.

Their is the chance that players will see Dallas as a good stop, a
fun place to play, with a very actively supporting ownership! So I
wouldnt be surprised too much if some players end up saying they want
to play for Dallas. Just not sure if those who will demand top dollar
will end up in Dallas. It is afterall still a business and several
NBA teams have shown that bringing in too much talent (trail blazers)
doesnt equal championship teams!!

I expect more than anything to see players come to the mavs to get
recognized. With the coaching staff and the way they all share the
ball I expect someone to want to go to the mavs to earn a name for
themselves!!!

anyways, that is what ive thought.

If PJ will be the rebounder and inside player we are
looking for then it sounds like he would be a great
asset.

Here is his stats of NBA.com
Ranks #10 in the NBA in Rebounds Per Game(9.0)
Ranks #4 in the NBA in Field-Goal Percentage(0.531)
Ranks #9 in the NBA in Offensive Rebounds(243.0)
Ranks #7 in the NBA in Offensive Rebounds Per
Game(3.1)
Ranks #16 in the NBA in Defensive Rebounds Per
Game(5.9)
Ranks #15 in the NBA in Total Rebounds(701.0)

I wonder if he would be able to play center.. He is
listed as a forward.

Well, Karl Malone has Dallas on his list. He likes to score, and
thats good, but I don't think he'll be the answer to the Mavs needs.
Jermaine O'Neal- Also a scorer, averages 20.8 pts a game and 10.3
rebounds per game, but most likely he's gonna be back w/ the Pacers.
Why? It's all about the money.
P.J. Brown- Gets some points here and there but mostly he's a
rebounder (averages 9 rebounds per game) and a great inside player.
So what does everyone think? Will any of these players be a
difference on the team?

I think its a sure thing. Cuban made it clear he doesnt talk to
employees till the contract is up.
Plus he had a helluva season, I see him coming back. If anything I
might see is a coach brought in who specializes in defense!!!

I think he will. If we bring another coach in right
now it may disrupt whats happening and take more time
to get back to even the conference finals. The mavs
have improved each year. I am not quite sure there
really is the justification not to bring him back. I
was really frustrated that the night we lost but now
think he should come back.....
