I just bought a guardian about 3 weeks ago, and had some feed failures
on my first trip to the range (87 rounds). I was using PMC FMJ and
Fiocchi JHPs. I had one or two feed failures on almost every magazine,
and it was definitely more noticeable with the FMJs over the JHPs (which
as I understand it is backwards). When I qualified with it for my CCW,
I used MagTech FMJs, and didn't have a single feed failure. I cleaned
the gun when I first bought it, but didn't clean it between the first
trip and the second (to qualify).
I must say, I'm very surprised by the Guardian, which I wasn't expecting
a whole lot out of. It's not very painful to shoot, it's trigger is
heavy but mostly smooth, and it works.
So I think it's definitely worth it, although you may want to wait for
the .380 model, although again it may have some initial birth defects
that they will need to work out. That seems to be standard for any
new model, not just NAA.
