A 12ga bore is .729 inch. I might add that the T/C barrel is improved cylinder, with no choke, and loads the patched round ball quite nicely. Greg Marts ...

Ahhh, a rear sight on a smoothbore fowler or Bess. Why not do what the colonials did, install a TALL tang screw and orient the screw slot to form a sight....

Hi Mark, The only sight I use is the bayonet lug for a front sight. At 50 yards the lug covers a 3" bullseye perfectly so I know I am on target. It works well...
