I thought of buying a Pedersoli Jaeger at one point when they first came out. I'd opt for a slow twist version not the 1:24 twist version if I had to buy one....

Pecatonica River has a "transitional Kentucky rifle". It would be cool with a Jaeger sling. That may make a practical hunting rifle in .54 caliber or larger....
