Ok I had to ask the expert (Markkw) on this question. Here is his response...
'For the ML, you may want to try "BB" size lead shot at 0.180" if you're going
to patch it (don't think it'll be easy) or better yet would be #4 Buck at 0.240"
if the groove depth doesn't exceed the pellet diameter it can be loaded without
a patch. Either way, you'll need to keep that little bore clean.'
He said he has not seen lead airgun balls in 25 years but I saw some tins of
Gamo lead airgun balls in .22 caliber and .177.
