"Always plan with the end results in mind .... Be clear.Be specific." Stephen Goddard Davidson
It's the day before Thanksgiving and everyone is readying for area Turkey Trot runs, jogs, workouts. Check out your local fitness web sites for details on Thursday fitness events happening around Louisiana.
Thanks for the feed back on the initial rankings we presented for the printed edition of the Louisiana Multisport Report. Please help us spread the word of our initial rankings listings to those who may not be using the internet. We sadly miss a share of folks in our effort to communicate because there are still lots of multisporters who do not have or use the internet.
Ben Hawn is working on finalizing drafts of the duathlon listings and hopefully we'll have some preliminary postings up soon. The printed edition of the Louisiana Multisport Report comes out in early 2005.
Does anyone do rankings of swim competitions held across Louisiana. Are there any more statewide running rankings for 5kms, 10kms, half marathons, etc.? We sure would like to include run and swim rankings for Louisiana's fitness folks. Contact me if you know of any such fitness rankings. Thanks.
Sorry about my enote postings. I'm having trouble with the Yahoo Groups function and I hope folks are getting information about fitness events and peoples all over the state. Again, check multisportreport.com when in doubt.
Did I mention the book called The Miler (themiler@...). It's a good book you track aficionados may want to read.
Louisiana pure nomadic multisporter, William "Bobo" Anderson, had an accident while working about a month and a half ago. There was lots of light-hearted banter on the internet about his accident, but it seems to have been a pretty serious accident -- enough of one that he's been in the hospital for the entire time in New Orleans. He is at the New Orleans Charity Hospital and would love some company.
Speaking of accidents, we've had more than our share in the fitness community. Lately Baton Rouge cyclist Gary McCreary, a former football player for Northwestern in Natchitoches, had a serious accident when he was hit by a motorist. He's still in pretty bad shape, but is thankful for all the blood and love given by the fitness community around the state.
Our prayers are with Anderson, McCreary, and no doubt others dealing with or recovering from accidents.
