Since the Coffee Call ride has been starting from IHOP and not actually @ Coffee Call, I think it's time to stake a claim to revamping the ride.  Meeting at Rocket, on State St. would actually make the ride a bit less hectic, as the group can stay on Highland the entire route, rather than traverse college, Perkins and kennilworth.   Plus, I would typically get back to The bicycle Shop @ 10:30 when I did the ride, which could put everyone back @ Rocket for lunch and the Tour all in one easy setup  Traffic after the ride will be easier to negotiate around campus rather than College Dr. also.

 I am all for tradition, but I think it is time to start a new one.  For the Caffiene junkies, Highland coffees is around the corner, Smothie king is across the street and Circle K is available for those that need other stuff.

Let's say Rocket @ 7AM Saturday.  If you have a Time Trial bike bring it, we need to work on the team time trial pairings anyway.

For those that cannot make the start @ the North Gates area of Campus, look for the pack along Highland Rd.

Wear your stripes, and be part of the inagural North Gate Ride.

So, who's meeting at the Coffee Call on College? It ordinarily leaves at 7
a.m. and we pick up lots of folks along the way. But I don't want to be the
only one there only to learn later that 15 people were waiting along the
route for the pack.

The ride goes from Coffee Call,
down "strip club road" toward Semolinas Restaurant (can't think of the
street name),
weaves through Concord Estates (don't know those street names either),
on to Perkins Road headed south to Kenilworth,
right on Kenilworth headed west,
left on to Highland Road headed south,
under I-10 beyond CC of Louisiana,
right on "old" Perkins headed toward Dutch Town, etc.

Eventually we make it back to River Road where we head back north toward LSU
campus, Coffee Call.

Who's in for an in-town ride before TDF telecast begins?
