April 8th has been set as a coaches' appreciation 5km run in Denham
Springs.

Bridge 5km and A Run Through History event are set.
On-line registration for the April 22 Louisiana Triathlon continues
via lawired.com or directly through active.com. With the pace of
registrations coming in this year, it appears that the 2006 field of
competitors may be the biggest in its 13-year-history. By the way,
I could use some more motor boat volunteers for the race if any of
you have or know someone with a motor boat to help patrol the swim

The now -famous Baton Rouge Fat Boy 5km race is set April 8 at
Highland School not far from the LSU campus. The event starts at 8

April 23 has been set as the date of the spring 100-mile ride
organized by the Baton Rouge Bicycle Club. Stay tuned for details.

The second annual Baton Rouge Adventure Race will place teams
against a new course that's sure to challenge both beginner and
experienced racers alike. Teams of three will compete in coed, all-
male, all-female, or coed masters divisions. Distances for this four-
hour course are about 12 miles biking, 3 miles canoeing, 5 miles
trekking/running, plus mystery challenges.
Early registration fee is $65 per person and includes your team
canoe, paddles, life jackets, maps, and a great post race party.
Special team awards will be given to the top three finishers in each
division. Limited to the first 50 teams. The race will also include
the Massey's Professional Outfitters Treasure Hunt for great prizes
to discover while out on the course! Race in one event, or in the

<<PelicanMan Duathlon Survives & Thriving, Set April 2>>
Hurricane Katrina may have wiped out a lot of St Bernard Parish, but
the famous PelicanMan Duathlon survived in fine fashion.
As always, the event features a two-mile run, a ten-mile bike ride,
and a final two-mile run. The event is set for April 2, 2006 and
starts at 8:15 a.m.
Fliers are at Todd Herbet's Bicycle Connection shop and Phidippides
in Metairie. We're working on getting flyers out elsewhere across
the state.
