"The only thing that makes life possible is permanent, intolerable
uncertainty; not knowing what comes next." Ursula K. LeGuin
The first Tunica-Biloxi Duathlon in Marksville was terrific. Race
director Brad Colwell, key volunteer Gary Perkins, and their band of
very industrious volunteers did a fabulous job at the best-kept
secret for multisport venues. The distances were tough and for sure
not for the feint of heart, but this is a must-do event for all true
multisporters. Again, the dominant multisport club on the scene was
BRTri, but I could be wrong on that so check me. The results are
posted on lafayettefitness.org.
This coming Sunday is Mississippi Gulf Coast's Woolmarket Duathlon.
Here is the website. I am told it's a pretty good race. Here is the
website for the entry form http://www.gulfcoastrunningclub.org/
June 11 is set for a DeSoto Forest Adventure Race in Mississippi.

<<Velodrome Event Rescheduled>>
From Ben Schuler
The Track Race at Baton Rouge's velodrome this weekend has had to be

compromise had to be worked out and the track race is going to be
rescheduled for the second weekend in July. Note that this has not
yet been changed on the schedule. Sorry for the inconvenience and

<<Cycling Time Trial Results from Shreveport Posted>>
From Terry Milam
Below are the final results of last Thursday night's TT # 2 in the
Michael Simpson Time Trial Series held in the Shreveport area. The
course was a smooth 7.35 miles out and back. Weather for the event
was warm with a slight wind. We saw what I consider to be a great
turnout ...36 riders ... more than I expected. Thank you to everyone
for their patience in the event. I suspect that next time we will
have to use numbers...since we don't know everybody, and there are
getting to be so many people.

For Sale
From Scott
I have a rarely used 2002 KHS Flite 300 bike that I'd like to sell.
I'm asking for $500. I purchased the bike from Baton Rouge's Pedal
Play in early 2002 and it has maybe 300-400 miles on it. It was
stored indoors and is in "like new" condition. The trainer is a
Cyclops Magnetic trainer. I'm located in Baton Rouge.
++++++++++
That's it from here. Bless God America.
