SHIMMER PROFILED IN THE PWI 500!
----------------------------------------------------------

Pro Wrestling Illustrated devoted six pages of this year's edition of
the PWI 500 issue of the magazine to profiling SHIMMER! The article,
written by Bill Meltzer, is an introduction to what SHIMMER is all
about to fans who may not be aware of us yet. Several of photographer
George Tahinos's shots from the June 1st & 2nd weekend of tapings
will appear along with the article's text. The issue goes on sale
officially on September 25th, but can already be found on some
shelves.

VERY FEW TICKETS REMAIN FOR OCTOBER 13TH!

Volumes 14 & 15 of the SHIMMER DVD series will be filmed on October
13th. The taping will be held at the Eagles Club (6309 26th Street)
in Berwyn, IL, just outside Chicago. Bell time is 4pm. Doors open at
3pm.

Over 2/3 of the tickets that will be made available for this taping
have been sold. If you haven't purchased tickets to the show and
would like to attend the show live and in person, we encourage you to
do so right away. Remaining tickets can be purchased at a cost of $15.

You can either use the PayPal buttons along the left side of the main
page of www.shimmerwrestling.com or send payment via mail order
(check or money order). To order by mail, drop us an E-mail at
shimmernews@... for futher instructions. We'll also have
remaining tickets for the taping available for purchase at
intermission of the Sept. 8th AAW show in Berwyn.

SARA DEL REY TO BATTLE AMAZING KONG ON OCT. 13TH!

Reigning SHIMMER Champion "American Angel" Sara Del Rey emerged
victorious in the 16 woman single elimination title tournament during
the month of June, but there was one glaring omission from the
tournament field that weekend. Due to prior commitments that weekend
in Japan, the international phenom Amazing Kong did not stand in
Sara's way of being crowned the first SHIMMER Champion.

Though Del Rey was able to walk away from Berwyn with the gold, she
knew in the back of her mind that the very intimidating, undefeated
monster would return to SHIMMER with one thing in mind, and that is
taking the SHIMMER title off the waist of the American Angel.

On Saturday, October 13th, Amazing Kong returns to SHIMMER
competition, and will step in the ring to do battle, one-on-one, with
Sara Del Rey as part of the Volumes 14 & 15 taping at the Eagles Club
in Berwyn, IL! If Del Rey is still SHIMMER Champion come 10/13, the
bout will be for the belt.

Sara has stated that she is out to prove that she truly is deserving
of the title and is the best woman wrestler in the world, and she
will take on any and all challengers in the process. What will happen
when Kong and Del Rey mix it up for the first time in a SHIMMER
ring?! That question will be answered on October 13th!

Front row reserved seating for the October 13th SHIMMER taping is
sold out. Some general admission tickets are still available at a
cost of $15. We will only be selling 175 General Admission tickets
for this taping, so that everyone who attends will be able to get
seating (which became an issue back on April 7th when we ran out of
chairs). Don't get shut out!
