Sandy, thanks for encouraging people to search!

A Morgantown-based all-volunteer search and rescue group, the
Mountaineer Area Rescue Group, is assisting with this search.

MARG is always looking for new members, and we provide all the
necessary training. I want to encourage anyone who has been touched
by this story and is curious about getting involved in SAR to attend a
MARG meeting. Meetings are held the 3rd Monday of every month at
6:30 pm in the Star City Volunteer Fire Department. To learn more,

Last year MARG assisted local agencies (State Police, Fire
Departments, etc.) on more than 30 missions, including wilderness
searches for lost persons and rescue of the injured from hiking,
hunting, or other outdoor accidents. We also assist with
semi-technical and technical outdoor rescues.
