FUN NOT FEAR

Our approach is very different from traditional martial arts school.
First, for children "play is the way", training must be FUN. Second, we train like "sport" to prepare for "self-defense".
That means our training looks a lot like other sports, like soccer. We do drills, we practice with partners and we work on fundamentals. We never train in patterns with a non-existent or cooperative partner. Partners always use PROGESSIVE and APPROPRIATE resistance. In this way children learn what they can really do. PLAYING in this way, children acquire functional skills while having fun.

Exercises and curriculum are designed to accomodate developmental level appropriate for age of child.
Parents are encouraged to participate. Helps build coordination, confidence, and bonding.
