RE: [MiyataSpecTour] What to ask for 610 frame

Shipping UPS Ground or FedEx usually costs around $25 - $30 anywhere in US.  I use boxes that held kitchen range hoods or you can, of course, use a bike box.  I would think $150 would be a fair price for the frame.  Add shipping and you are around $200.  On these lists I have picked up sweet frames (Univega Super Strada) for $75 or so but prices have gone up.

Subject: [MiyataSpecTour] What to ask for 610 frame

I have a mid eightys 610 frame, with some light cosmetics, inside is rust free. No seat binder bolt, but I have the seat post. Original cantis on it. It would need a new headset, mostly because the chrome is rusting on the current one. Its maroon, a really small frame, strait and true. I think it sat unused for a long time, because the BB is in great shape, hardly ridden.
They buyer is in another state, so I would have to ship it, I would like to give a fair price with shipping in mind. But I have no idea what to sell a bike for, much less a used frame. any ideas?

Well, if you got a great deal then by all means sell it for a "friends" price. I have passed frames on for what I paid, but not ten bucks! I should have...

No point in asking questions just to then disregard the answer. I just did not want to embarass myself by asking to much. I kind of wanted to get fifty out...
