It's Sleepover Day @ The Bases, where almost everyone seemed to be make themselves right at home Saturday. The White Sox invited 250 lucky fans to actually spend the night at Comiskey Park, and after watching "The Natural" on the JumboTron they could have talked about how Andruw Jones, Curt Schilling, Barry Bonds, Vlad Guerrero, and most of the visitors had the run of the place. Wrapup of the night:
Barry Bonds gave the fans at Yankee Stadium exactly what they came for, hitting a tape-measure home run in his first at-bat. But it was a ninth-inning fielding error, not Bonds, that did in the New York Yankees in a 4-3 loss to the San Francisco Giants. "It felt good, to hit a home run in the 'House That Ruth Built,'" Bonds said. "I think anyone would feel good about it. It feels a lot better because we won."

Notes from behind the scenes. Manager Bob Brenly admits he's a big fan of Interleague play as the D-Backs line up against the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees. "It's fun for the fans, especially the novelty of it. It's kind of exciting. My suggestion is to use the DH in National League cities and let American league cities play real baseball."

The Great Big Battle of the Right-Handers unfolded at Fenway Park Saturday. Schilling vs. Pedro Martinez was the featured attraction not only of this weekend, but of Interleague play, period.
