"America's Email".....INTEGRITY......IS WHAT SOMEONE DOES....WHEN NO ONE IS WATCHING... ~ Welcome to the Tuesday Thanksgiving Week Field of Dreams..I hope all of you are well...Belated Birthday wishes to my dear cousin Suzanne and my Grandfather Charles who turned 90....The whole family came back for the celebration and it was great to see everyone!!...... ~ Thoughts From The Front Office....I have used today's quote many times before..But today it is aimed at one person MICHAEL JACKSON....Many of us grew up listening to his music and buying his records. He was the "King of Pop" no doubt at the time....His entire family has entertained the world for decades......During the offseason from baseball I was the public address announcer for the Christopher Newport University Captains NCAA men's and woman's basketball team and for most of the other sports.....Jackson's music was a must not only for the fans but for the players..This was 1977-1988 - the height of his career....But than came the 90's and this man started to change...Plastic surgery...Monkeys.....Bones from the elephant man....A very strange marriage to Elvis Presley's daughter....And all the boys staying over at his Neverland ranch....Than in 1993 the first child came forward...But a Bronco....An ex football player and 25 million dollars made it go away......But parents kept leaving their children with him....WHY??.....He admits that he sleeps with the children and he thinks that's ok...I guess the parents did to...Maybe some children are for sale to some parents...My question is why did not someone in that large family go to Michael and get him some help??....Hello Janet you are the only normal Jackson...Of course Michael is innocent until proven guilty..But does anyone really think he a healthy 45 year old?? It appears he had a dad that may have been abusive..But he is an adult and responsible for his own actions...If these charges are true than he has ruined the lives of thes boys...They will live with this forever....It is a very sad episode for everyone involved.....Jackson's new song "One more Chance" is perhaps a little late...Michael ....You may have had your one more chance....And That's What I Think.... ~ Congrats to Assoc editor Marc Techman who's Miami Dolphins beat my Washington Redskins....Thanks for not calling and gloating!!..... ~ Since we last talked I did the Chief Officer of Election thing for the Virginia elections...We had 160 voters in our 15 hour day and a voting machine that did not work for the first 10 minutes...3 people had to use paper ballots until we got it up and running...They called the paper and said we were "turning voters away"...I just kept thinking Florida 2000....YIKES!!.....But everything worked out fine and we were done by 9 pm..... ~ Congrats to the Florida Marlins...They will not repeat....~ And good news..The Virginia League - Our new independent minor league baseball project - will open this summer with a 30 game schedule .....Details will be given in an exclusive to Billy and our buddies at the Courier - Record this weekend and we will reprint it here next week..... ~ Hey it's great to be back...Have a great day...That's the Tuesday Field of Dreams...Be Safe...Be Aware.....Be Americans...Sic Semper Tyrannis...Let's Roll!!
