Howard joins Abreu as Home Run Derby champ Following in the footsteps of Phillies teammate Bobby Abreu, who won last year's Home Run Derby, slugger Ryan Howard belted five homers in the final round to defeat the Mets' David Wright in this year's CENTURY 21 Home Run Derby on Monday night in Pittsburgh. Howard crushed a total of 23 home runs out of Pittsburgh's PNC Park over three rounds to win the 2006 Home Run Derby crown.
