Did you know that the world-class Phillies Ballpark can actually fit inside Veterans Stadium with plenty of room to spare?
The Ballpark is so intimate that it puts fans right on top of the action, maximizing sightlines to the natural grass and dirt playing field. Plus, with the open concourses on all levels you'll be connected to the game at all times.
As shown, the Vet is grey with the New Ballpark overtop in color.

THE COUNTDOWN
Construction Update: On Schedule to Open April 2004
Despite the freezing temperatures and the more than four feet of
snow that has fallen this past winter in Philadelphia, progress
continues on the 21-acre New Ballpark project site. The number
of construction workers has grown to 400 men and women, all
helping to make the Ballpark take shape ? even in the bitter cold.
The site is bustling with action both above and below street level
as crane operators and ironworkers continue to install the steel.
Additional work includes pouring concrete, installing precast
concrete, constructing the underground service tunnel, and
building out the Diamond Club (a premium seating area).
Be sure to check out the Phillies Ballpark Web Cam, located on
phillies.com, and watch the Ballpark take shape 24/7.

FURNITURE, FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT -- When moving into a New Ballpark, one of the many things that needs to be considered is

FAN-FRIENDLY FEATURES -- The Phillies Ballpark is slated to be the most fan-friendly ballpark in major league baseball. Throughout 2003, Hits & Highlights will showcase many of the fan-friendly elements that will contribute to making the Ballpark world-class.
Entrance Gates Correspond to the Field:
Finding your seat in the Ballpark will be easier than ever, since each entrance gate name
will correspond to a specific area of the playing field.
The four main entrances will be the "First Base Gate", "Third Base Gate", "Left Field Gate",
and "Right Field Gate". Similarly, the Premium Seating entrances will be named in the
same fashion, such as the "Premium Seating ? Home Plate Entry".
These easily identifiable gate names will help fans orient themselves to where they
are in the Ballpark.
