Look no further than the Yankees' camp for immediate impacts. Hideki Matsui homered in his second at-bat and superstar Alfonso Soriano plans for an even better season. Hopes for a better season are why Cubs' slugger Sammy Sosa and new manager Dusty Baker are all smiles. New faces are in every camp, and Jeff Kent and the Houston Astros look like a perfect fit.

On the pitching front, there are good initial reports for LA's Darren Dreifort as he returns from Tommy John surgery. And in New York, pitcher Tom Glavine is already setting an example for the Mets. Roy Halladay tries to build on sudden success for Toronto while Texas' Chan Ho Park is all about business.
