More Than Beards, Bellies and Biceps - The Story of the 1993 Philadelphia Phillies (and the Phillie Phanatic, too) tells the story of that "wacky, wonderful group of throwbacks" (as Harry Kalas described them) and how that team lit up the league and the city with their never-say-die attitude and their Animal House style both on and off the field. The book takes a comical look at the behind the scenes game and the history of sports' most successful mascot.
The Phillies will release a tentative version of the 2003 schedule within the next week on phillies.com. With the Phillies scheduled to play Interleague games against the AL West, the final season at the Vet is sure to be a memorable one.
