PHILLIES NEW BALLPARK COSNTRUCTION WORKERS OUTING
More than 1,300 construction workers and their families enjoyed an afternoon of food, folks and fun at the Phillies New Ballpark Construction Workers Outing, hosted by the Phillies to celebrate the progress of the Ballpark.
The festivities began with David Montgomery, Phillies General Partner and President, and his wife Lyn Montgomery welcoming and thanking the workers for their hard work in building the Ballpark.
Next, all were treated to a pre-game lunch, where surprise appearances were made by Phillies Manager Larry Bowa, right-handed pitcher Brandon Duckworth, Phillies announcers Harry Kalas and Scott Graham, and the Phillie Phanatic. After lunch, everyone cheered the Phillies as they took on the Mets at a 1:15 p.m. game in Veterans Stadium.
