That has been confirmed on acmilan.com. Nesta will only return in
mid March.

This is the part on Nesta:

"We are counting on everyone to give a hand, including the fans, in
this difficult moment. Nesta needed an operation, but we chose the
conservative path, but instead of improving the situation it
aggravated it. The pain increased and then he took a hit in a
practice game on November 19 and then even he preferred to have an
operation. Now he can rest a bit and then start rehabilitation. The
surgeon gave him a prognosis of three months, so he should be back in
the middle of March."
