MMTCers
Gordy left me in charge whist he's on an anniversary
junket to unknown parts of the world. Marilyn is in
charge of trip arrangements and doesn't tell Gordy.
Tonight's Workout:
Aug 22 Tues 6pm Evergreen Cemetery Intervals
each runs 4 x 3/4 with 3 minute rests.
For the results I'll be asking for names, total times
and average rest interval times (please note if
different from 3 minutes).
Gordy encourages every to take the three minutes
but I know that some of you like to run with your
buddies and take more (heh) or less time.
Don
And for those of you who desire a Crim tune-up, and don't want to go a long
distance, I offer you the Ladies First 5K Races that will be held this Saturday
,
August 19, in Fowler. A very nice event (we've won awards), in a nice rural
setting. Well organized, flat fast course, great amenities, and 4 races for the
whole family. Women's only 5K, men's 5K and walk, & youth races of 1 mile and
200
yd.

MMTC People:
Bob Metzger has pointed out that I have already signed
you up and he had a problem getting into the
Mid-MichiganTC website.
To get into the website you will need:
1. your email address _and_
2. the eGroups generated password near the bottom of the
introductory email message which originally subscribed
you to the list.
If you don't have that email and it's not still in your trash
you might have to unsubscribe and resubscribe to the list.
Sorry, for any inconvenience - I'm just learning about this
list myself.
Don
Mid-Michigan TC People:
Because some people have limited email capacity/slow modems
the Mid-MichiganTC email group rejects any attachments. This does
not mean we cannot see a photo of MMTC significance.
I have placed a couple of pictures on the Mid-MichiganTC
website at http://www.eGroups.com - at the "Sports, Running,
Clubs, Mid-MichiganTC" site.
You will need to create your own password to get into the
site (Ithink).
Once in the site - double lick on one of the files there:
1. Strt10K.jpg - Start of the Lincoln Races 10 in 1998
2. mmtcchpn1.jpg - Y2K run at Kris Cadwell's
3. schd4_00.doc - MSWord Version of the Summer 2000 Schedule
4. schd4_00.txt - Text Version of the Summer 2000 Schedule
If anyone would like to post a picture on the site please
send it to me and I'll post it.

Hey Don..It is not my math, it is my Alzheimers. I was thinking in the terms
of 10 round trips, not 10 up and backs (Aka 5 round trips). Chucks. It is
only 5 round trips, isnt it. Guess it isnt as hard as I remembered!!! It
must have just seemed lilke 10 round trips back in my day when we ran them.
Anyway, 5 miles is even longer than per usual track club Tues......and if any
real tough runners want to go 10 roundtrips, (like the tough runners of my
memory), I'll keep the clock going.

Don,
You're a wimp! You should be doing at least 2 miles warm-up and down and
jog some during your 2 minute rest!
But that's just my opinion! Mitchell would probably have to measure
everything to know how far it was, but he wouldn't run between 800's anyway!

I see there's an advertisement for a debt reduction program... fair
enough.. I really don't mind an ad here or there to help finance a web
page, email system, etc ...
Speaking of debt reduction reminds me that the next time I take out a
loan, I am gonna get enough to get completely out of debt....

All you had to do was ask, I could have told you that.
All I know is kick butt, I've worked my whole life and it's finally paying
off...
I'm on the cool kids list!

P.S. I drug Erika over to the MSU track on Saturday night. Yeah I know,
biggest thrill of her life. We measured the track several times. I couldn't
remember where your marks were for the 200 meter marks Gordon. But you can
all rest easy now, I've got the 200 meters marked and painted with three
small green dots on the inside of the track (facing the infield). They are
not 100% directly across, but they're much more accurate than anything we've
had yet. Oh, and the track is officially 400 meters. Not 440 yards like I
had thought before.

Gordy et al:
The list still only consists 13 people so far. I can only subscribe
50 people per day. It is possible for individuals to subscribe to
the list by going to eGroups.com but I'll need to provide
instructions later.
If no one objects, I will start adding people to the list today.
